Home Safe and Sound is an imaginary house come to life. Lorena Torres Loaiza’s float for QUIET PARADE is a freestanding three-dimensional house for the artist to take refuge in and move around with. It is also a lot of tiny lucky house charms. Either way, it's a house that's carried with you, the idea of a place that somehow, despite everything, is safe for you to rest and be yourself in. Nowadays that may feel like an impossible wish, but a safe home is something everyone should have. So we make the wish anyway.
