In advance of and as part of Take Back the Night (TBTN) in Peel Region on September 21st, join facilitator Clara Lynas for two workshops to create posters and banners in support of ending sexual violence. As part of Peel Committee Against Women Abuse’s (PCAWA) annual anti-violence rally and march, community members of the University of Toronto Mississauga campus and the broader Peel Region are invited to make a sign of solidarity to increase awareness and support of women and gender-diverse individuals’ right to live without the fear of violence. The posters and banners will be made available to all participants during the TBTN rally to share messages of strength, outrage, and the need for systemic change.
FREE and open to the public by drop-in, no experience necessary, all materials provided. Attendees on the 14th are encouraged to bring their sign to the march on the 21st!
Founded in 1984, Peel Committee Against Women Abuse (PCAWA) is a group of individuals representing various agencies in the Region of Peel that have a shared goal of ending gender-based violence.
