Curated by Hans-Ulrich Obrist and organized and circulated by Independent Curators Incorporated (ICI), New York, the exhibition Do It was presented jointly with The Gallery (UTSC). In this traveling exhibition, no artworks travel. Consisting of instructions by international artists such as Yoko Ono, Marina Abramovic, John Baldessari, Jimmy Durham, and many others, the works were produced in collaboration with students, volunteers, and staff in each venue.

Hans Ulrich Obrist (b. 1968, Zurich, Switzerland) is Co-Director of the Serpentine Galleries, London. Prior to this, he was the Curator of the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. Since his first show World Soup (The Kitchen Show) in 1991 he has curated more than 300 shows.
