Kawan Pustaha
Kawan Pustaha (Friends of Pustaha) is initiated since June 2022 as collaborative platform for learning art culture, particularly ancient Batak manuscripts known as Pustaha. Kawan Pustaha's focal points are collective learning activities involving reading and writing Batak scripts and research studies on Batak manuscripts (Pustaha) through BATUAKBA (Read, Write Batak Script). Other activities include printing, discussion, traditional cooking, traditional Batak music performances, and screenings. Members of Kawan Pustaha comprise descendants of the Batak Toba, Karo, Simalungun, Mandailing, Angkola tribes, and open to individuals from all backgrounds and race. Kawan Pustaha collaborates with the Asana Bina Seni Program, Yayasan Biennale Yogyakarta, and Arus Balik Research Study to North Sumatra manages by Lifepatch.
